The temple elephant gets enough food at regular intervals, but is a slave to the temple authorities; whereas the wild elephant has to find food on his own from the forest, but he is his own master.
I can endorse this analogy 100% as I too became a wild elephant.
I have been a temple elephant all my life and a wild elephant for a short while. I'd say temple elephants are better. Partly because I didn't know the life of a wild elephant.
ReplyDeleteWild elephant life is akin to a dog-eat-dog life. And in these days of resource/credit crunch no food left in the jungle. :(
So wild elephants are trying to become temple elephants too. Rogues - keep them out.
